Here are some tips for helping your child to do the best he or she can.
- Make sure he or she goes to bed in time to wake up in the morning refreshed. Studies show that children need 10-12 hours of sleep at night to do their best.
- Make sure he or she has a good breakfast. (We will be having breakfast here at school first thing in the morning. However, if your child would like something besides or in addition to the regular breakfast, you may send it. He or she would eat it at breakfast time. There will not be a snack time once the AIMS sessions start.)
- Make sure your student gets to school on time every day for the AIMS sessions. Our tests will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week.
- Students are allowed as much time as they need to complete a test. Please do not schedule appointments for your student until the afternoon. If you pick your student up before he or she has completed a test, he or she will not be allowed to finish the test at a later time.
- Finally, do not stress nor allow your child to stress over this test. He or she has been preparing all year for this. These evenings should be ones to "chill out" and rest up -- which is exactly the reason we will not be having homework at all this week.
Happy AIMS Weekto all!
