Update and Homework 11/21/11

Don't forget that you are invited to our class presentation of "The Pilgrims' First Feast," a readers' theater play.  Be here Wednesday, November 23 at 11:00 am! (Remember that registration as a volunteer - with a background check - is needed to visit the classroom during regular school hours.)

I'm really proud of our class in their demonstration of the character pillar of CARING.  Students brought in 49 cans or boxes of non-perishable food for food baskets for some families in need.  As a result of their generosity, our class won an ice cream party, which we will celebrate at the end of school tomorrow!

There is no spelling list this week, as it is a very short week.

Do remember that Wednesday, November 23 is an early release day (12:15pm) and there will be no aftercare that day.  Have a great Thanksgiving!

Homework tonight:

• Language Arts:  Several students need to complete the Unit 5 review in the textbook, pages 154-155. Test tomorrow.
• Math
• Worksheet P61 (multiplying as repeated addition, using 2s and 5s)
• Worksheet P90 (reading pictographs)
• Reading: Read for 15 minutes
